Dear God,
My Mom called me today and told me about her going to the
doctor and having a check up. It was a good thing that my Mom becomes concern
for her health. She shared this good news to me that she has initiated this, as
what I have always reiterated to her. As she was telling me the list of
medications that she has to take, it makes me feel that I really should know
more about health. This is one of the moments that make my conviction of going
to med school stronger. This desire to understand human processes and diseases
is gradually being lit in me thru daily encounters. I shall really become a doctor so that I can
care more for the people I love.
My plan was to go med school directly after college
graduation. However, certain circumstances such as my NMAT score restrained me
to enter the school of my dreams. I really want to go to UERM, I don’t know
why. I don’t know what’s so enticing about it, I just wanted to. And now, that
I have been interviewed, I really hope that I would get accepted at UERM. I am already claiming it. With Your
grace, I’ll be studying in UERM. I trust the Lord’s plans for me. I am
excited about it.
Had I not experience working after graduation, I think I
wouldn’t be able to realize how much I wanted to go to Medicine. I wouldn’t be
pursuing a higher score in NMAT had I not really wanted to go to top medical
schools.
Certain events in my life that led to this kind of wanting to become
a doctor:
1.
My Ate has Rett’s syndrome. With this, I want to
help other families who have a family member with other developmental
disabilities since I know for myself what they have been going through.
2.
My work experience paved way in meeting doctors
who are experts in their very own fields, which are inspiring for me.
3.
My Lola has been hospitalized recently, and I
have felt something for the first time, that I should know more so that I can
do something for her. Second time for this feeling was with my Mom’s sharing
that she has consulted a doctor and that she has to take some medicines, just
today.
I long for more experiences in my life Lord
that will affirm my desire to become a doctor. I know that You are the one who
have instilled this desire in me. I know that You’ll help me deliver, no matter
what. So as early as now, thank You very much.
Love,
Julie
